My name is Caitlyn Somack and I am a 15-year-old racer from West st. Paul, Manitoba. My dad has been racing with the speedway for 10 years now and I finally decided that I wanted to share the passion with him as well. He races the yellow 3 in Midwest Modifieds. I share this passion with him. I have always been on quads and a go-cart from as little as I can remember and going fast in a car always sounded appealing. I think it's in my blood. I mentioned it to my Gigi (Doug Somack) and within the first week, I was surprised with my own race car in the driveway. My Gigi and I share this passion together along with my dad and I am so excited to continue on. Doug Somack use to race back in the day at Brooklands & Winnipeg Speedway and was sponsored by the owner Pete Vernaus of Petes Autobody.

This is my first year racing, very excited to start the journey.
