The 2017 WISSOTA Rule Book is available online here. All rules for Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Mods, Street Stocks, Mod Fours, Pure Stocks and Hornets are included in the rule book. Any rule updates or clarifications needed during 2017 will be posted here and also published in All The Dirt! Racing News. Officials of USRA, USMTS and WISSOTA have produced a video tutorial which will help drivers, chassis builders and tech officials properly measure race car frames to ensure they meet 2015 rules and beyond. The following video helps to explain how Modified and Midwest Modified frames will be measured to ensure they comply with WISSOTA rules. Frame Measurements, Modifieds & Midwest Modifieds

ST. CLOUD, MN (December 18, 2014) – A diagram which outlines the specifications for frame measurements in the Modified and Midwest Modified divisions is available. Shown are the legal dimensions for the 1968 to 1972 Chevelle stub/frame. If your frame does not meet these measurements, please consult your chassis builder.


The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events.  These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules.   NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND OR REGULATIONS.  They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.

The race director shall be empowered to permit reasonable and appropriate deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his/her opinion does not alter the minimum acceptable requirements.  NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS.  Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.
