WISSOTA & Sponsor Decal/Patch Rules:
Drivers in all WISSOTA divisions are REQUIRED to display the WISSOTA decal and all sponsor decals provided by WISSOTA on their race cars. The mandatory decals to be displayed include (but are not necessarily limited to): WISSOTA AMSOIL Dirt Track Series, Hoosier, Dart, Allstar, Sunoco or Turbo Blue, Pro Comp and Bassett.
The WISSOTA AMSOIL Dirt Track Series and Hoosier decals MUST be placed on BOTH DOORS of each race car, in the first 10 inches of the body behind the front tires. Refer to the 2010 WISSOTA rule book, page 16, rule 3.2.2 and a downloadable diagram here for additional information. The sheet included in your license pack will provide you with detailed information on this as well. Mandatory decals MUST start at the top of the door with the AMSOIL Dirt Track Series decal on top; Hoosier decal MUST go directly below or next to AMSOIL Dirt Track Series decal.
License and decal packets will be sent to all drivers when your license application reaches the WISSOTA office. If you would prefer to download your WISSOTA and sponsor decals here and have your graphics provider output to digital printer or incorporate in a "wrap" for your race car, that is now acceptable. Click one of the following files to download an EPS file or PDF file which contains the driver decals (note: you may not be able to open this file, but your graphics provider will be able to). Choose the file version and type that best fits your graphic provider's needs:
• EPS (CS1)
• EPS (CS4)
• PDF
Mandatory decals for each WISSOTA division are as follows. Additional decals may be added to this list in the future; if so, you will be notified here as well as in All The Dirt! Racing News.

General/Multi-Class Rules:
1. 1/25/10 Louvers or holes on the deck and on the back of the car or sides of the car are considered ground effects, and ground effects are not allowed.
2. 4/14/10 Transponders. Because the majority of WISSOTA sanctioned tracks have begun making the use of transponders mandatory, it is now essential that WISSOTA provide consistent rules for mounting of transponders in all race cars. The following mounting locations are now mandatory for every competitor who mounts a transponder to be run at a WISSOTA facility. Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds: mount the transponder on the right side of the midplate on the back side. You must make sure there is a direct signal to the ground with no object between the transponder and track surface. Street Stocks and Mod Fours: Mount the transponder on the right side, inside the frame, approximately 21-23 inches behind the lower ball joint. You must have your transponders mounted as described above for your class. If you have a transponder mounted in any location other than described above, you will be subject to disqualification from that race if discovered through post-race inspection.
3. 5/11/10 Mandatory Decal Locations. The WISSOTA AMSOIL Dirt Track Series decal MUST be located in the UPPER corner of the front fender, directly behind the wheel opening on all Street Stocks, Super Stocks and Late Models (see diagram). The same decals MUST be located in the UPPER left corner of the left door (driver’s side) and UPPER right corner of the right door (passenger side) on all Mod Fours, Midwest Mods and Modifieds (see diagram). All other required decals MUST be placed on the outside of the side body panels or sail panels in the upright position using the correct colors and sizes. Required decals are NOT allowed on the side of the nose piece, or the frame rail, roll bars, ground effects, wheels or tires. All decals may be incorporated into a graphic wrap provided you use the correct colors and sizes.
4. 5/11/10 Sail Panels. Regardless of the division, the car's sail panels cannot extend above a straight line drawn from the back of the roof to the tip of the spoiler (if rule allows spoiler) or the top of the deck (if rule does not allow spoiler). Please refer to this diagram for more information.
