Gale has been racing late models since 2001. In the early years, he raced at Mid-Nebraska (Doniphan, NE), Boone County (Albion, NE), Butler County (Rising City, NE), US 30 (Columbus, NE) and Stuart Community Track (Stuart, NE). Starting in 2008, he mainly raced at Wagner Speedway (Wagner, SD). After taking most of the 2009 and 2010 seasons off due to personal reasons, he started running there full-time in 2011 and has since won four track championships and two runner-up finishes in the points standings. He is currently racing most of the Tri-State Late Model touring series races as well as Wagner.

2000 - Stuart Community Track Street Stock Season Points Championship
2006 - Late Model Points Championship at Stuart Community Track, 6th place finish in Points at Boone County Raceway, 5th place finish in Points at U.S. 30 Speedway.
2007 - Mid-Season Championship at Tomahawk Speedway and 2nd in Season Points at Stuart Community Track.
2008 - 2nd in Championship Points at Wagner Speedway
2012 - Wagner Speedway Late Model Points Championship
2013 - Wagner Speedway Late Model Points Championship
2014 - Wagner Speedway Late Model Points Championship
2015 - Wagner Speedway Late Model Points Runner Up.
2017 - Wagner Speedway Late Model Points Runner Up.
2018 - 5th in Tri-State Late Model Series Final Points.
2019 - Wagner Speedway Late Model Points Champion, 4th in Tri-State Late Model Series final points
2020 - Wagner Speedway Late Model Points Runner Up
2021 - 5th in Tri-State Late Model Series final points, 3 wins at Wagner Speedway
