All featured drivers answered the same questions.
Our third driver in the WISSOTA Driver Spotlight series is Alan Adams. Set to compete in his 39th season of racing, the Super Stock racer is from Helena, Montana.
What is your home track?
Gallatin Speedway
What’s been your most memorable race or win so far?
My dad winning the championship 5 years in a row!
What’s one lesson racing has taught you that applies to life?
Keep your wife happy!
What’s your pre-race ritual or superstition?
I sit on the backboard of my car and look at line up and decide on how to get to the front.
What’s your favorite non-racing hobby?
I like to work out
If you had an unlimited budget, what would you race and why?
I’d run two cars. I would still race Super Stock, but I would get a Late Model for my brother
What is your favorite race track food?
A Cheeseburger
What is the story behind your car number?
I loved watching Rusty Wallace race in NASCAR. So I decided to go with number 27.
What’s the biggest misconception people have about racing?
That anybody can just go in circles and how much money it costs
What was the biggest misconception you had about racing before you started?
The amount of money it costs to run up front
What advice would you give to a new driver just starting out?
Never settle for second!
What WISSOTA event do you most want to win?
The WISSOTA 100!
What’s one thing you wish every fan understood about drivers?
That we do this for fun.
Please tell us your favorite racing story?
Winning the Gallatin Speedway championship with 11 wins and then going to my only 100 to win it. Drew number 1, and then when it started racing, it rained out.
