Racing has always been a part of my life as my Dad raced Street Stocks when I was a boy. I was into athletics as a young man playing just about any sport there was to offer. My wife Shaina is the main reason that I got into racing in my early twenties. Shaina started racing a 4-cylinder the moment that Adventure Mountain Speedway offered the class. After helping her out for a year, I got one of my own. It became very hectic as just everyone in my wife's side of the family was racing a car on Friday or Saturday nights. Shaina beat just about everyone in the 4-cylinder division on a nightly basis and became a very good Street Stock driver as well. We both raced at the same time until we had our oldest boy Cooper.
We decided to upgrade straight into the Midwest Modified after four years in the Hornets. We continued to race at Adventure Mountain Speedway with the Midwest Modified with occasional adventure to Three Lakes and Ashland. We started racing in Eagle River Wisconsin on a consistent basis in 2010 and that has been our “home town" track ever since.
Racing in our area is very tough as the closest track is 75 miles away. We are very lucky to have dedicated sponsors and family that have helped keep Aho Racing moving in the right direction. We are humbled by the opportunity to represent LLR Motorsports with two drivers that grew up racing on a small dirt tract in Upper Michigan. We have since added two more drivers to the LLR Motorsports team with Cooper and Carter Aho racing Jr. Sprints on a weekly basis.
