Grant always had a love for engines and going fast. He attended his first race at the age of 16 in Souris, Manitoba. He was hooked after that and decided to buy his first car. In the year to follow, things were far from smooth sailing, but he carried on and bought his first modified car at the age of 20. By the age of 25, he decided it was time to take a break from racing and focus on family and his career. In 2011, Grant bought a Midwest Modified car in Jamestown, ND and has been racing that ever since. He had to realize the commitment it was going to take to be a racer when any track was at least 3 hours away. Without the support of his wife Jackie, help from his brother Brian and the shop staff, his racing career would not be possible.
