Late Model Open Engine Program Put On Hold

Attention Late Model Drivers:

Effective Monday June 12, 2017, WISSOTA is suspending the use of open motors in the Late Model division pending additional testing and research. WISSOTA’s goal was to provide an open engine option which provided parity with the other approved options; however, initial results indicate that the open engine option has been superior to other engine options.

WISSOTA’s tech committee will make an announcement by July 15, 2017 to continue the open engine option with modifications, or to discontinue it. If the program is discontinued, WISSOTA will buy back your restrictor plate if you so desire.

Please contact Callie Sullivan in the WISSOTA office to make that arrangement if you wish. The office phone number is (320) 275-9922 and email is callie@wissota.org.
