Electric pit stalls available at the 100

HURON, SD - Racers will once again have a great, convenient option in the pits this year at the WISSOTA 100: electric hookups. If you are interested in parking in one of the electric hookup stalls, you need to act quickly because they will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis only, and reservations are being taken now.

There will be pit stalls with 50 amp electric service available, according to WISSOTA executive director Terry Voeltz. This option is perfect for race teams that would like to have full electric power throughout their stay at the 100, but don’t want the noise of a generator.

“After the State Fair added these electric hookups a couple years ago, there was a lot of interest from racers,” he said, “and the teams that have used them have loved it.”

All of the pit stalls with electric service are located in the large pit area across the road from the speedway (enter gate 13). They are located at the back, or south, side of that pit area. The ground is all even and grassy and there will not be a lot of pit traffic because it’s on the outside edge of the pit area.

These pit stalls are available for $150 for five nights (Tuesday through Saturday) or $120 for four nights (Wednesday through Saturday).

If you are interested in reserving one of the electric pit stalls or have questions, contact Terry Voeltz at (605)?216-7223. You need to make payment at the time of reservation by using a credit card.
