WISSOTA Weekly Preview

Sauk Rapids (May 17, 2018) – WISSOTA Auto Racing member tracks have water trucks out, blades warming up, and food being delivered as they get set for another great weekend of racing. From Montana to Wisconsin, drivers will look to gain momentum heading into the summer months. Head to wissota.org, and take a look at the extensive schedule of all WISSOTA events happening this week including test and tunes. From Thursday to Sunday, here are 4 WISSOTA member tracks that are currently scheduled to race this week.

KRA Speedway – Willmar, MN

Central Minnesota speedway sitting on the Kandiyohi County Fairgrounds will see WISSOTA Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Street Stocks, Mod Fours, and Hornet take to the 3/8ths mile clay oval for their season opener on Thursday, May 17. KRA Speedway drivers will look to get a jump start on the season in Willmar, MN as they look forward to 16 races, 14 of which will be used to determine a track champion. Casper Speedway – Casper, WY

WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds and Mod Fours will take to the track located just north of Casper, WY for their unofficial season opener on Friday, May 18. The original season opener on May 11 was cancelled due to rain. The Friday night speedway, now under new management, has 21 events planned for WISSOTA drivers in the Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho regions. Promoter, Ray and Faye Nash are not new faces to many people in the Wyoming region as they come from Valentine Speedway. Check out Casper Speedway by going to casperspeedway.myracepass.com.

Southwest Speedway – Dickinson, ND

WISSOTA Street Stocks are moving into their second points race in Dickinson, ND on Saturday, May 19. The night of racing will welcome the local Boy Scouts and other children for the Southwest Speedway Kids Night sponsored by Dan’s Body Shop. The speedway is located south of Dickinson, and is home to great WISSOTA Street Stock racing in western North Dakota. With a 6pm start time be sure to check your MyRacePass app for all your line up and driver information. Check out Southwest Speedway by going to southwestspeedway.com.

ALH Motor Speedway – Morden, MB

WISSOTA Modified, Midwest Modified, and Street Stock drivers will have their passports in hand as they travel north to Canada to visit the great ALH Motor Speedway in Morden, MB. The 4pm start time on Sunday is sponsored by Shifters Steakhouse. The 3/10 mile dirt oval is located just outside of Morden, which is about 130 km southwest of Winnipeg.
