Wissota Late Model Challenge Series

Now 4 Different Winners in 4 Events

St Augusta, MN (July 8, 2019) - The Wollak Construction WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series has now seen 4 different winners in 4 events. Kent Arment, Pat Doar, Jesse Glenz, and A.J. Diemel are all winners in the 2019 Wollak Construction WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series.

Glenz picked up the win on Thursday, July 4th, at Mississippi Thunder Speedway after he redrew the 4th spot in the MyRacePass redraw. Glenz is no stranger to the high banks of MTS, and already has a win at the speedway in a modified. The top 5 was rounded out by Diemel, Pat Doar, Jame Giossi, and Jake Redetzke.

The Friday night race for the Wollak Construction WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series was delayed momentarily due to the storms around the speedway. Friday night for Glenz set him up for the feature in the 8th spot where he fought his way for a top 5 finish in the weather stricken Friday night event. After a short rain delay, A.J. Diemel found himself racing hard for the lead against John Kaanta. The shortened race meant harder racing for both drivers as they searched for their preferred line. Diemel found himself at the top of the leader board at the end of the 30 lap feature just as the rain started to fall with 5 to go.

Jimmy Mars picked up the Speedwerx Hard Charger on Thursday by passing 8 cars, and followed that up with a 6th place finish on Friday. Rick Hanestad of Boyceville, WI, picked up the Speedwerx Hard Charger on Friday, where he passed 5 cars to just sneak into the top 10.

The Wollak Construction WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series is off for a couple weeks before cranking up for a 2 day race weekend on July 26 and 27 at Gondik Law Speedway and Rice Lake Speedway. The Twin Ports Twin 25s will kick off at the Gondik Law Speedway, where fans will get to see 2 Wollak Construction WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series feature races.
