WISSOTA Welcomes Mike Lacy to Lead Sponsorship Sales & Fulfilment

WISSOTA Auto Racing leadership is excited to welcome Mike Lacy to the team effective immediately to lead sponsorship acquisitions and fulfillment heading into the 2025 racing season.

Mike will work closely with WISSOTA board member Mike Jordet in soliciting and securing new sponsors for WISSOTA and working with existing supporters to keep them on board for years to come. Mike will work to insure every sponsor gets all they can from their investment into the WISSOTA Promoters Association.

A little about Mike…
‘My love for racing started as a child, in the garage watching NASCAR with my Stepfather. He was the typical "Diehard Earnhardt Fan" most of us could recognize. My extended family on my mom's side are predominantly from western Wisconsin so for us, Cedar Lake Speedway was in our backyard. The first time attending an oval dirt track I knew I was hooked. We never had an abundance of cash so it was actually a real treat to attend a race night once in a while. My dream as a child to build a career around racing seemed unattainable at the time, so like most I put that dream in a cozy little box for the majority of my life. I spent my 20's building a career as an Electrician and found I wasn't truly invested, so I moved on to become a great power-sport/motorcycle mechanic since I had learned the skill over a lifetime of working on my own machines. That was it. I finally arrived. Spending most of my 30's wrenching on machines gave me such a sense of accomplishment when I could take a "piece of junk" and bring it back to life so the owner could continue to enjoy their investment. When I hit 40, I realized I still wasn't following my dreams, so I decided to take a break, and get myself a fairly easy warehouse job and regroup my goals. This is when the story really gets good. My "easy warehouse job" immediately morphed into the Motul Oil Specialist as a leading wholesaler for the entire upper Midwest and shortly after became a guy known as Motul Mike throughout Minnesota. Wissota approached us in pursuit of an oil sponsorship and the connection was made. Two years of extremely hard work, deep efforts, and some good old-fashioned faith, Wissota Auto Racing is where I've landed. Luck is real, and the harder you work the better your luck can be. I accept my new position with honor and strive to be the best version of myself for the benefit of the entire Wissota network. Without our Sponsors, Promoters, and without our Drivers especially, we are just some race fans in the garage. Thank you to everyone who made this possible and I can't wait for a great 2025 season.’

Mike will hit the ground running on October 1st and lead the way toward a very successful 2025 and beyond for WISSOTA.

For sponsorship inquiries, reach out to Mike at mikelacy@wissota.org.

Welcome on board Mike!
