Fouquette finds Late Model success and races to WISSOTA National and Challenge Series Rookie of the Year honors

St. Cloud, Minnesota’s Devin Fouquette debuted in the WISSOTA Late Model division at the start of the 2025 season with his eyes set on chasing the WISSOTA Late Model Rookie of the Year title. Still, Devin not only set out to chase the WISSOTA national rookie title, but he also committed to being a Challenge Series ServPro Star of the Series and chasing the GTX Rookie of the Year honors with WISSOTA’s top touring series throughout the season as well.
When all was said and done, he was able to win his first-ever Late Model feature race, take home both rookie titles, and claim his first Late Model track championship at the Fiesta City Speedway in Montevideo, MN, in what turned out to be a tremendous first season behind the wheel of the full-fendered machine.

Devin’s #15 is supported by 2nd Generation Chimneys, East Central Sports, Burwell Motorsports, GM Drilling, DCF Trucking, Rush Race Gear by Austin Witt, Dynamic Drivelines, Schoenfeld Headers, Drury Designs, Stakt Products, Adams Automotive Racing Engines, Longhorn Chassis, Vaughn Media, Ace Media, HH Photo & Video and Pit Viper Lights, He is also supported by his mom Audrey and dad Chad, as well as his crew, which consists of Chad, Cash and Kate.
Devin has been racing since 2016, with his first season spent in the Hornet division and then from 2017 through 2019, he raced in the WISSOTA Super Stock division, before he moved into the WISSOTA Modified class in 2020, where he spent the majority of his time over the last five seasons, and just completed his first season behind the wheel of his WISSOTA Late Model in 2025.

Notable moments for Fouquette this season included winning his first-ever Late Model, which came at the Buffalo River Speedway in Glyndon, MN. He also noted the night that he fought with Shane Sabraski for the lead in the feature during WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series action at the Madison Speedway. He remembers swapping the lead several times, demonstrating that he could be a competitive driver in the Challenge Series and also being the top rookie on numerous occasions, winning GTX Rookie of the Race honors often throughout the 18-race series schedule.

Showing his versatility throughout the season, Devin entered 63 events, with the majority of his starts coming in the Late Model. Still, he also entered nearly a dozen Modified events, where he started his season in Arizona back in January. Of the 63 events he entered, he raced to 32 top ten finishes for his efforts, and picked up 16 top five runs as well throughout the season.

When asked what it means to win the national Rookie of the Year title in his first Late Model season, Devin said ‘One thing that really drove me to race as much as I did this year was my grandpa Gerald (Joe) Fouquette, who passed away in 2024. He was a true idol to me, and he knew how much Late Model racing excited me while I was growing up, watching this sport. He told me he wanted to see me racing Late Models one day. Sadly, that is something he never got to see, so we dedicated this season to him and my results and accomplishments this year were all for him!’

Finally, Devin wanted the world to know that Todd from DirtOnDirt.com quoted him as having the ‘best mustache in WISSOTA,’ and he is proud to hold that title as he celebrates his pair of Rookie of the Year titles.

Congrats to Devin and his team!

The WISSOTA Promoters Association exists to benefit its member tracks to enhance safe, profitable and successful dirt track racing, through unified, cost-effective rules, policies and procedures enacted within a democratic environment.

The WISSOTA Promoters Association was founded in 1981 by eight track promoters in Wisconsin and Minnesota, with an intent to offer uniform rules for the promoters and drivers involved in the Late Model division. Soon, the group decided to do the same for the growing Modified division.

In 1984 a voluntary steering committee was formed to oversee the business aspects that developed and to guide the future of WISSOTA’s racing divisions. That steering committee evolved into a board of directors, and the non-profit racing organization became incorporated in 1986.
